Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Readyline Response Solutions LLC ("Readyline," "we," "us"), a Michigan limited liability company, governing your use of Readyline products and this website. By using a Readyline product, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
Part I — Applies to All Readyline Products
1. No affiliation
Readyline is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any fire department, government agency, testing authority, union, or standards body. Where a Readyline product references a standard (for example, NFPA), that reference describes content alignment only. No Readyline product is endorsed by or affiliated with the NFPA.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use a Readyline product.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant a personal or organizational (as applicable), non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the product for its intended purpose. You may not: (a) copy, scrape, or systematically extract product content, question banks, rubrics, or outputs; (b) use a product or its outputs to build or train a competing product; (c) reverse engineer a product or attempt to extract service credentials; (d) circumvent usage limits or entitlement checks; (e) resell, rent, sublicense, or share access; or (f) use a product for any unlawful purpose.
4. Your content
You (or, for Incident Command, your Department) own the content you create. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the product for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights in it.
5. Intellectual property
Readyline products — including software, design, question banks, competency frameworks, rubrics, and branding — are owned by Readyline Response Solutions LLC and protected by law. "Readyline" and the Readyline mark are trademarks of Readyline Response Solutions LLC. No rights are granted except the license in Section 3.
6. Availability and changes
Products may depend on third-party services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
READYLINE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) READYLINE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES (INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT OR PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES), OR LOSS OF DATA; AND (B) READYLINE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO A PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO US FOR THAT PRODUCT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Note for Incident Command: the liability framework appropriate to an operational fireground tool is addressed separately in Part III and in the Department Service Agreement, and may differ from this general cap.
9. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold Readyline harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of a product.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Livingston County, Michigan.
11. General
These Terms are the entire agreement regarding the products, except where a signed agreement (such as a Department Service Agreement) governs, in which case that agreement controls for that product. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced and apply prospectively. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale of the company.
Part II — Readyline Interview Prep
Promotional interview practice, for individual firefighters.
OB-1. What it is — and what it is not
Scores are AI-generated practice feedback. They are produced by an automated system without human review. They may be imperfect, incomplete, or inconsistent between attempts. They are not professional advice, career counseling, or an official evaluation of any kind.
No outcome is promised. Use of the App does not guarantee any result on any examination, interview, promotional process, or hiring decision. Promotional outcomes depend on factors entirely outside the App's control.
The question bank and rubric are an original, generic framework. They do not reproduce any department's actual promotional questions, rubric, or process.
OB-2. Plans, purchases, and refunds
- Free tier. A limited number of graded answers per month, subject to change.
- Promotion Pass — offered in 90-day and 180-day terms. One-time purchases unlocking full features for a fixed period. Passes expire at the end of their term and do not auto-renew. No charge occurs after your purchase.
- Pricing. Prices are shown at the time of purchase and may change for future purchases, including at the end of any introductory or founding rate. Changes never affect a Pass already purchased.
- Billing and refunds are handled by the app store under its policies. Except where required by law or store policy, purchases are non-refundable once the Pass has been used.
- If we permanently discontinue the App during your active Pass, your sole remedy is a pro-rated refund of that Pass.
OB-3. Recording
You are responsible for what you record. Do not include confidential information belonging to your employer or others. Audio is processed on your device and is not transmitted to us; see the Privacy Policy.
Part III — Readyline Incident Command
Fireground command, tactical worksheet, and accountability — licensed to departments.
This section states the operational disclaimers that apply today. It is not sufficient on its own to govern a paid department deployment. A signed Department Service Agreement is required and will control. Engage a licensed Michigan attorney before the first department contract.
IC-1. Operational scope — the disclaimer that matters
Incident Command is a decision-support and documentation aid. It is not a life-safety system.
It does not replace: your department's official personnel accountability system; your radio communications and emergency traffic procedures; your standard operating guidelines; your records management system or system of record; or the judgment of a qualified incident commander.
The incident commander remains solely responsible for all tactical decisions, accountability, and firefighter safety. Software may fail, a device may fail, a battery may die. The Department must maintain its non-software accountability procedures at all times and must never rely on this product as the sole means of tracking personnel.
IC-2. Department responsibilities
- Train personnel on the product before operational use, and maintain backup accountability procedures.
- Determine what data is entered and comply with applicable records-retention, public-records, and personnel-data obligations.
- Control access to devices on which the product runs.
IC-3. Data
As between Readyline and the Department, the Department owns and controls its incident data. Readyline does not receive or store Department incident data as the product is currently built. See the Privacy Policy.
IC-4. Matters reserved to the Department Service Agreement
The following are not governed by these website Terms and must be addressed in a signed agreement: license scope and term; fees; support and uptime commitments; data ownership, retention, and return; breach notification; cooperation with post-incident reviews, investigations, and litigation holds; indemnification; insurance requirements; limitation of liability appropriate to operational use; and termination.
The general liability cap in Part I, Section 8 was written for a consumer practice app. It should not be assumed to carry over to an operational fireground tool. Have counsel set the liability framework for Incident Command deliberately, and ask specifically about errors & omissions / technology liability insurance before the first department goes live.
Part IV — Readyline Size-Up
SU-1. What it is — and is not
Size-Up is a solo practice tool for the first-arriving radio report. It presents training scenes, times you, and shows you an on-device transcript of what you said. It provides no scoring, no answer key, and no evaluation, and it is not tactical guidance: nothing in the app tells you how to fight fire, and no scene in it should be treated as doctrine. Your department's procedures, your training, and your officers govern — always.
SU-2. Training use only
Size-Up is for training and self-development away from the incident scene. It is not designed, tested, or licensed for use during emergency operations, and you agree not to rely on it during an actual incident.
SU-3. Scenes you create and share
Scenes you build — including photos you capture — are your content and remain on your device. You are responsible for what you photograph and what you share: capture structures rather than people, faces, license plates, or unit markings, and only share scenes with people you intend to have them. Sharing happens directly from your device to your recipients; it does not pass through us, and we have no ability to retrieve or delete a scene you have shared.
SU-4. Price
Size-Up's pricing, if any, is shown where you obtain the app. Features and availability may change as the product develops.
Part V — Readyline Mayday
MY-1. What it is — and is not
Mayday is a solo practice tool for the mayday radio call. It presents training scenarios, lets you give the call out loud, and shows you an on-device transcript and playback of what you said. It provides no scoring, no answer key, and no evaluation, and it is not tactical or survival guidance: nothing in the app tells you how to survive a real emergency, and no scenario in it should be treated as doctrine. Your department's procedures, your training, and your officers govern — always.
MY-2. Training use only
Mayday is for training and self-development away from the incident scene. It is not designed, tested, or licensed for use during emergency operations, and you agree not to rely on it during an actual incident. In a real mayday, follow your training and your department's procedures.
MY-3. Recording
Audio you record is held only in memory on your device for immediate playback and is discarded when you leave the screen. It is never saved or transmitted. The on-device transcript stays on your device.
MY-4. Price
Mayday's pricing, if any, is shown where you obtain the app. Features and availability may change as the product develops.
Part VI — Readyline Drill Deck
DD-1. What it is — and is not
Drill Deck is a discussion-based training tool that presents knowledge drills for a company officer to run with a crew. Every drill directs you to your own department's standard operating guidelines as the authority. It provides no scoring and no answer key, and any facilitator notes are prompts for leading a discussion — they are not answer keys and do not state operational facts as authoritative. The correct answers come from your crew's knowledge and your department's guidelines, not from this app.
DD-2. Training use only
Drill Deck is for training and professional development away from the incident scene. It is not designed, tested, or licensed for use during emergency operations, and you agree not to rely on it during an actual incident.
DD-3. Your content
Drills you create and favorites you save are your content and remain on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of any drill you build and for ensuring your crew's training aligns with your department's guidelines.
DD-4. Price
Drill Deck's pricing, if any, is shown where you obtain the app. Features and availability may change as the product develops.
