Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Readyline Response Solutions LLC ("Readyline," "we," "us"), a Michigan limited liability company, handles information across all of its products and its website.
- Readyline Interview Prep — promotional interview practice, for individual firefighters
- Readyline Incident Command — fireground command and accountability, for departments
- Provisions that apply to everything
Interview Prep: your voice recordings never leave your device. The text of your answers is sent to an AI service to be scored, and nowhere else.
Incident Command: incident data stays on the department's device and is not transmitted to Readyline.
Both: we do not sell your data, we show no advertising, and you can delete your data at any time from inside the product.
Part I — Applies to All Readyline Products
1. Information we never collect
- No advertising identifiers, ad tracking, or data sales. Readyline products contain no advertising.
- No contacts, photos, or location data.
- No background microphone access. Where a microphone is used, it is used only while you are actively recording, and only with your permission.
2. Purchases
Where a product is sold through an app store, purchases are processed by that store (e.g., Google Play). We receive confirmation that a purchase is valid, and record only that your device is entitled to the product and the date that entitlement ends. We never receive or store payment card details.
3. Security
Transmissions use industry-standard encryption (TLS). Service credentials are held on our servers, never inside our applications.
4. Children
Readyline products are intended for adult fire service professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate each product, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us. Providers are listed in the relevant product section below. We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale of the company, in which case this Policy continues to apply.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access & portability: Readyline products include an export function.
- Deletion: each product provides an in-product path to erase its data. Where an account exists, deleting the account removes synced data from our systems within 30 days, except records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights (access, correction, deletion, objection). Contact us and we will respond as the law requires.
7. Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and announced in the affected product before they apply to you.
Part II — Readyline Interview Prep
A promotional interview practice app for individual firefighters, distributed through consumer app stores.
OB-1. Voice audio — the important one
When you answer a question by voice, your speech is captured and transcribed on your device. Audio is used solely to produce the transcript and optional immediate playback.
Audio recordings are never uploaded to Readyline or to anyone else, are not stored after you leave the answer screen, and cannot be recovered. Only the text of your answer is transmitted.
OB-2. What is collected
- Answer transcripts (from speech or typing), stored on your device as your practice history.
- Delivery metrics computed on your device — words per minute, filler-word count, answer duration.
- Story Bank entries, scores, and practice history, stored on your device.
- An anonymous device identifier — a random string generated on your device the first time you request grading. It contains no personal information and is not linked to your name, email, or any account. Its only purpose is to let our grading service count graded answers against the monthly free limit and prevent abuse. Because it exists to enforce that limit, it is retained when you delete your practice data.
- Account email and plan status, if and when account features are offered. Without an account, all of the above stays on your device only.
OB-3. AI processing
When you request grading, the App transmits to Anthropic, PBC — the provider of the Claude AI model that performs the assessment — the following: the question, your answer transcript, your delivery metrics, your target rank level, and the titles only of your Story Bank entries. The AI returns your scorecard.
Grading requests pass through a Readyline-operated proxy service hosted on Cloudflare. That proxy receives your anonymous device identifier and the content described above, holds our AI provider credentials so they are never distributed inside the App, and counts your graded answers against the monthly free limit. It stores only counters and entitlement records — the device identifier, a short-lived request marker, a one-way hash of your network address, and, if you purchase a Pass, a record noting that your device has unlimited grading and the date it ends. None of these contain your answer content. Counters expire automatically.
- This occurs only when you request grading, and only after you accept the in-app AI consent notice.
- Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train Anthropic's models. See anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- No human being reviews your answers. Scoring is fully automated.
OB-4. Service providers for this product
Anthropic (AI scoring) · Google Play (distribution and payments) · Cloudflare (infrastructure and entitlement records).
OB-5. Retention and deletion
Practice data lives on your device. You can remove it at any time:
- More → Data → Clear scoring history deletes your saved answers and scores, keeping your Story Bank and settings.
- More → Data → Delete all my practice data deletes your answers, scores, and Story Bank entries from the device.
- Individual Story Bank entries can be deleted one at a time from the Stories screen.
What is kept when you delete: the anonymous device identifier described in OB-2, the usage counters tied to it, and any Pass entitlement record — so a purchase you paid for is not erased by clearing your practice data. These hold no personal information and no answer content; they exist so the monthly free-grading limit cannot be reset by clearing data. Usage counters expire automatically — monthly grading counts within about 40 days, network counters within about 2 days, and request markers within 15 minutes.
Your answer content is never stored on our servers. Grading requests are processed transiently and are not retained after your scorecard is returned.
Part III — Readyline Incident Command
A fireground command, tactical worksheet, and accountability tool licensed to fire departments and public agencies.
Incident Command handles operational incident data and personnel information and carries materially higher risk than a consumer practice app. The provisions below reflect how the product is currently built. They are a starting point and must be reviewed and completed by legal counsel before the product is deployed to any department outside of testing — together with a separate department-facing agreement (see the note at the end of this section).
IC-1. Who the customer is
Incident Command is licensed to a fire department or public agency ("the Department"), not to individual firefighters. The Department, not Readyline, determines what data is entered into the product and how it is used. As between Readyline and the Department, the Department owns and controls its incident data.
IC-2. What the product handles
- Incident data: incident type, times, assignments, tactical benchmarks, notes, and scene records created by the user.
- Personnel data: unit designations and the identities or identifiers of personnel assigned on scene, as entered by the Department.
- Device-local storage: the product is built to operate on the Department's device. Incident data is stored on that device.
IC-3. What Readyline receives
Readyline does not receive, transmit, store, or have access to Department incident data. The product operates on the Department's device without transmitting incident content to Readyline. There is no AI processing of incident data. Exports are produced locally and remain under the Department's control.
If this ever changes — for example, if cloud sync, multi-device operation, or analytics are introduced — this Policy must be updated before that feature ships, and Departments must be notified.
IC-4. The Department's responsibilities
- The Department is responsible for its own records-retention obligations, public-records law (including Michigan FOIA where applicable), and any personnel-data obligations arising from data it enters.
- The Department is responsible for controlling physical and logical access to the devices on which the product runs.
- Readyline is a tool provider. Incident Command does not replace the Department's official accountability system or system of record.
IC-5. Service providers for this product
None with access to incident data. Incident Command operates on the Department's device and does not transmit incident content to Readyline or any third party.
A separate Department Service Agreement (and, if any Department data ever reaches Readyline systems, a Data Processing Addendum) is required. Those documents — not this website policy — should govern data ownership, retention, breach notification, incident-review cooperation, indemnity, and insurance. Engage counsel before the first paid department deployment.
Part IV — Readyline Size-Up
Size-Up is fully on-device. It has no server, no account, and no tracking — nothing you do in it is transmitted to us, and we could not see it if we wanted to.
SU-1. What is stored, and where
Everything Size-Up saves lives only on your device, in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB: your name if you enter one, which scenes you have practiced, your favorites, your preferences, and any scenes you create — including photos you capture for them. Deleting the app's data from your device removes it entirely; there is no server copy.
SU-2. Voice
When you give a size-up out loud, speech-to-text runs through your device's own speech engine, the same way it does for dictation. The app itself never records, stores, or transmits audio; only the on-device transcript is shown to you, and it stays on your device.
SU-3. Camera
The camera is used only when you choose to add a photo to a scene you are building. Photos are saved on your device and are never transmitted to us. When photographing a building for a scene, capture the structure only — avoid people, faces, license plates, and unit markings.
SU-4. Sharing scenes
The share feature creates a file that goes directly from you to the people you choose (for example, your crew) using your device's own sharing tools. Shared files do not pass through our systems. Because a shared scene contains its photos, share only what you would be comfortable handing over in person.
SU-5. No analytics, no ads
Size-Up contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no data sales. On first run your device may load typefaces from Google Fonts, which is a standard content request to Google's servers; no practice data is included in it.
Part V — Readyline Mayday
Mayday is fully on-device. It has no server, no account, and no tracking — nothing you do in it is transmitted to us, and we could not see it if we wanted to.
MY-1. What is stored, and where
Everything Mayday saves lives only on your device, in your browser's local storage: your name if you enter one, your practice history, your preferences, and your chosen call format. Deleting the app's data from your device removes it entirely; there is no server copy.
MY-2. Voice — the important one
When you give a mayday out loud, two things happen, both on your device. Your device's own speech engine produces a transcript so you can read back what you said. Separately, the app records your audio in memory only, for immediate playback, and discards it the moment you leave the screen — it is never written to storage and never transmitted. Neither the audio nor the transcript ever leaves your phone.
MY-3. No analytics, no ads
Mayday contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no data sales. On first run your device may load typefaces from Google Fonts, which is a standard content request to Google's servers; no practice data is included in it.
Part VI — Readyline Drill Deck
Drill Deck is fully on-device. It has no server, no account, and no tracking, and it never accesses your microphone or camera.
DD-1. What is stored, and where
Everything Drill Deck saves lives only on your device, in your browser's local storage: your drill log, your favorites, any drills you create, and your preferences. Deleting the app's data from your device removes it entirely; there is no server copy.
DD-2. No microphone, no camera
Drill Deck is a text-based training tool. It never requests, records, or transmits audio, and it never accesses your camera or photos. There is no voice feature to worry about.
DD-3. No analytics, no ads
Drill Deck contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no data sales. On first run your device may load typefaces from Google Fonts, which is a standard content request to Google's servers; no drill data is included in it.
